Mansfield City Schools Board of Education elected a new president and vice president Wednesday night during the board's organizational meeting.
Chris Elswick was nominated by former president Lowell Smith, and was confirmed by a unanimous vote.
Dina Davis was elected the vice president and confirmed by unanimous vote.
Elswick says the board will focus on two goals this year.
"Academic achievement of our students and continuity of leadership are the goals of the board," Elswick said.
Renda Cline and Cliff Crose, who won election to the board in November, also took their oaths of office for four-year terms.
The board also set its next three meetings for Jan. 17, Feb. 7?and Feb. 21. The meetings will be held at?7 p.m. at the Raemelton central office building at 856 W. Cook Road.?
